Misty Doyle - Director of Education

Misty Doyle, FORZA’s Director of Education, has over 20 years of experience working with young children.  Mrs. Doyle grew up in a home where both parents were educators and she embraced that same passion for the field of education.  She earned her degree in Performing Arts/Drama and Elementary Education from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA.

Upon graduating, Mrs. Doyle became the assistant director of a KinderCare Child Center. During her two years there, the center became one of the top performing schools in the company with an average enrollment of 110%.  Mrs. Doyle turned down the opportunity to run a center of her own when she and her family made the decision to move to Florida.

Upon relocating to Naples, Florida, Mrs. Doyle accepted the position of being a Center Director with Tutor Time Learning Centers and secured the Center’s first license from the Florida Department of Children and Families.  In 1999, Mrs. Doyle decided to fulfill her desire in becoming a School Teacher.  During her tenure in Education, she has worked with children ages: newborn to seventh grade in charter and traditional public schools. For over a decade, she taught Kindergarten and has also served as a Kindergarten Lead Teacher.

Mrs. Doyle joined FORZA during Gulf Coast Charter Academy South’s inaugural year and is now the Director of Education overseeing the FORZA Child Development Centers housed in each of the charter school campuses managed by FORZA Education Management.  Mrs. Doyle cultivates and nurtures each child's individual abilities and talents via an augmented curriculum resulting in the child’s mastery of the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards.  Moreover, her educational program supports each child in reaching their optimum level of development in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains.  This optimum level of development occurs because of her two-fold program that consists of generating a “partnership approach” with each child’s family coupled with teaching via meaningful educational experiences which significantly enhances her Centers’ student learning gains during the children’s most formative years of learning.

Benefits of early education and the Preschool/VPK program:

  • The most important growth and development in the brain happens by the age of five.

  • The early years are the learning years.

  • A child’s ability to be attentive and to follow directions emerges in the early years.

  • Structured early learning fosters these abilities for later success in school and in life.

  • Pre-K prepares children to be ready for school. Children who participate in high-quality early childhood education programs develop better language skills, score higher in school-readiness tests and have better social skills and fewer behavioral problems once they enter school.  They are also better prepared for Kindergarten, especially in the areas of pre-reading, pre-math and social skills.

  • Pre-K promotes a love of learning in children.

  • Pre-K enhances what a child learns at home and instills a love of life-long learning.
